Auftaktveranstaltung zum Projekt “Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM) als Dokumentations-, Planungs- und Monitoringmethode zur Behebung von schädlichen Umwelteinflüssen am Beispiel des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes Synagoge Worms“ und Tagung zum Thema “Heritage BIM in der Denkmalpflege–Innovative Strategien für Erhaltung und Monitoring”
Zentrale Fragestellungen des DBU-geförderten Projekts und der Tagung:
– Wie kann die Planungsmethode BIM (Building Information Modeling) zur Erfassung, Instandsetzungsplanung und zum Monitoring der Kulturdenkmäler beitragen?
– Wie lassen sich denkmalpflegerische und welterbespezifische Anforderungen im digitalen Modell erfassen und langfristig nutzbar machen?
– Wie können Daten aus unterschiedlichen Disziplinen integriert werden, um ein ganzheitliches Instrument zur Erfassung, Planung und dem Erhalt zu entwickeln?
Die Veranstaltung in Mainz soll Einblicke in die spannenden Themenfelder aus aktuellen Forschungsprojekten und Initiativen rund um das Heritage BIM (HBIM) aus Deutschland und dem Ausland bieten, um eine Grundlage für die Entwicklung eines effizienten Informationsmanagements zur nachhaltigen Erhaltung des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes sicherzustellen.

Kick-off event for the project “Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM) as a documentation, planning and monitoring method for the elimination of harmful environmental influences using the example of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Worms Synagogue” and conference on the topic “Heritage BIM in Monument Preservation – Innovative Strategies for Preservation and Monitoring.
Central Questions of the DBU-funded project and conference:
– How do climate change and environmental influences affect built cultural heritage?
– How can the BIM (Building Information Modeling) planning method contribute to the recording, maintenance planning and monitoring of cultural monuments?
– How can heritage conservation and world heritage-specific requirements be recorded in the digital model and made usable in the long term?
– How can interdisciplinary data from different sources (soil, construction, archaeology, topography) be integrated in order to develop a holistic conservation methodology?
The event in Mainz will provide insights into the exciting topics from current research projects and initiatives around Heritage BIM (HBIM) from Germany and abroad in order to ensure a basis for the development of efficient information management for the sustainable preservation of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
